About Us

Our Story: All are welcome at our emporium of fun and funk: drop by, kick back, shop, share story, and say hello! Long ago and far away Tripp’s Store was a community gathering place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

What was once a country gas station is now a reimagined EMPORIUM: vintage showroom, folk art gallery, acting school, and community space that celebrates diversity, art, books, music, education, and storytelling.

Founded for community outreach in the fall of 2019 by North Carolina native Emmy Award Winning Casting Director Tracy Kilpatrick and film actor Danielle Lyn, Tripp’s Store's outreach is to support local artists, diversify culture, educate, and remain a safe space for all. Our space hosts acting classes, writing workshops and special events while also home to our emporium of one of a kind hand stitched up-cycled sustainable clothing line Authentissimo, collection of folk art, books, vinyls, furniture, and vintage finds!

Mission Statement: Tripp’s Store outreach is community driven support for our local artists diversifying our culture, educating, and remaining a safe space for all gender identities, racial identities, and ages!
